Let’s highlight the important skills that Upper Elementary (Grades 4-6) students will learn at Heritage Academy: 

  1. Challenging Concepts and Core Skills:
    • Students tackle more challenging concepts to prepare for higher grades.
    • They hone their skills in core subjects.
    • Self-management and self-directed learning are emphasized.
  2. Depth in All Subjects:
    • From Grade 5 onwards, students cover all six subjects in greater depth.
    • Concepts become more challenging, and workload increases across all subjects.
    • Literary skills are sharpened to ensure clear comprehension.
    • Students learn to express themselves through original thought in written reports and tangible projects.
  3. Transition to High School:
    • Grades 5 & 6 are crucial for transitioning from elementary to high school.
    • Growth in self-management and responsibility leads to better work habits and excellence in daily tasks.
    • These character traits foster academic growth, confidence, and competency.
  4. Campus Management:
    • Each campus is managed by a team consisting of one Supervisor and one or more staff members. Each class typically has a main teacher and an assistant teacher for a group of 20 students.
