Dustin Dimayuga, Grade 11 student

I’ve been part of Heritage Academy since I was nine, and it’s shaped me in ways I never imagined. Beyond just academics, this school has been a cornerstone in my life, teaching me invaluable life skills that have guided me far beyond the classroom.
When I first moved to Singapore, it was a massive change for me. I was facing the daunting task of starting anew in a new country, with a new school. Unfortunately, I couldn’t secure a spot in a government school, which left me and my mom feeling disheartened. Just when we were about to give up hope, we stumbled upon Heritage Academy, and it’s been a blessing ever since.
This school isn’t just about textbooks and exams; it’s about character-building. It instilled in me traits like discipline, goal-setting, and time management, qualities I’ve carried with me over the years. Looking back at my journey since 2016, I’m filled with gratitude and a sense of accomplishment.
One of the things that made the transition seamless was the nurturing environment at Heritage Academy. The supportive community, dedicated supervisors, and engaging curriculum created an atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth. It was here that I truly understood the importance of discipline and time management, skills that have become the foundation of my success.
Moreover, Heritage Academy encouraged us to go beyond academics and explore extracurricular activities. Whether it was sports, clubs, or community service, I learned the value of collaboration, leadership, and civic responsibility. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping not just my academic achievements but also my personal growth.
Looking back, I’m deeply grateful for the education and experiences I received at Heritage Academy. They’ve left an indelible mark on my heart and have equipped me with the tools to navigate a rapidly changing world. It’s not just about academic success; it’s about being prepared for whatever life throws your way, and Heritage Academy has certainly prepared me well.
