School Events

At Heritage Academy, our school events serve as vibrant gatherings that unite our community of dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents. They leave a lasting memory for all involved as these events are integral to the educational experience, providing opportunities for community building, celebrating achievements, enhancing learning, developing social and emotional skills, promoting school spirit, and strengthening family engagement.

Awards Day

Heritage Academy Awards Day is a significant event that brings together teachers, parents, students, and guests to celebrate achievements and create lasting memories. Typically held in November, Awards Day is a time to recognize and honor students’ accomplishments as they receive awards for academic excellence, character development, leadership, and participation in co-curricular activities (CCAs). The event fosters a sense of community and pride, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic education and celebrate the diverse talents and skills of our students.

Sports Day

Sports Day is an exhilarating event where students compete in track and field events, relay races, and friendly matches.  The cheers, camaraderie, and healthy competition create an electric atmosphere, encouraging physical fitness and teamwork.

The Heritage Academy’s Annual Sports Day is a thrilling spectacle of talent, teamwork, and triumph! The day kicks off with cheers and yells which echo across the grounds. Students, parents, and staff gather under sunny skies to witness a day packed with electrifying events. From heart-pounding sprints to strategic team sports, every event showcases the academy’s spirit of excellence and camaraderie.

Highlights included the intense relay races, where teams battled for glory, and various running and jumping events that had everyone on the edge of their seats. Parents don’t miss out on the fun, participating in their own friendly matches that add to the excitement.

In the end, it is more than just a competition—it is a celebration of sportsmanship, determination, and the unyielding Heritage Academy spirit. Kudos to all participants for making our Sports Day an unforgettable chapter in our school’s yearly calendar!

Parents Workshop

Our school conducts workshops for parents to familiarize them with our program and curriculum, enabling them to better support their child’s learning. During these workshops, parents step into the shoes of students, experiencing class procedures, understanding curriculum methodologies, and learning strategies to help their child succeed on this learning journey.

Parent Engagement Session

Parent Engagement Sessions are dedicated times for teachers to update and inform parents about the academic plan, class procedures, and students’ Academic Pathway. These sessions also include workshops designed to provide valuable resources for parents. The goal is to offer additional support and guidance to help parents effectively contribute to their children’s learning and academic success.

Parent Volunteers

Parents are encouraged to participate in Sports Day as sports officials and helpers, working alongside the school to ensure its success.

At Heritage Academy, parent volunteers are the unsung heroes who make a world of difference. Their involvement is vital, bringing enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to our school community. Their tireless efforts behind the scenes during international convention (RSC) is a testimony to unwavering commitment and dedication.

From participating and supporting school events (e.g. Field Trip, Sports Day), these dedicated parents enrich the educational experience for all. Their presence fosters a stronger home and school partnership spirit and creates a nurturing environment where students are nurtured and supported.

Parent-Teacher Conference

We conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC) every semester to keep parents updated on academic progression, learning traits and habits, and inform them about their Child’s Academic Pathway with Heritage Academy.

Celebrations

Heritage Academy celebrates diversity through vibrant cultural festivals where students and staff come together to showcase their heritage, traditions, and cuisines. Whether it’s Lunar New Year, Racial Harmony Day or other celebrations, these events foster understanding and appreciation within our multicultural community. Our National Day celebrations engage students in a historical reflection on Singapore’s rich history, serving as a cultural showcase of our way of life. This promotes civic responsibility and inspires future generations. Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Labour Day, and Teachers’ Day encourage students to express gratitude to those who play significant roles in their lives. These celebrations help strengthen bonds, promote cultural richness, and inspire collective progress. Students are also trained in cultural awareness, particularly of local Singaporean Chinese culture. Through various activities, they learn and demonstrate values such as honesty, gratitude, and excellence.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Heritage Academy instills a sense of social responsibility. Community service days involve students volunteering at local old folk homes, cleaning parks, or organizing gifts to honor our foreign laborers in Singapore. These events teach empathy, compassion, and the importance of giving back.

At Heritage Academy, celebrations go beyond mere events—they weave a tapestry of shared experiences, fostering connections and shaping character towards a global citizen.
